Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

My goal as your therapist is to create a supportive, therapeutic relationship built on trust while providing a non-judgmental, warm, safe space to explore. By creating trust, we can explore questions like “Who am I?” and “Why is this happening to me?” If you’ve ever felt the weight of the world closing in around you or maybe it’s just the day to day grind that feels too much, let’s talk about it! I use a person-centered approach while utilizing evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you reach your goals.
I attended The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, and Columbia College SC for my B.A. in Psychology. I attended Concordia University Wisconsin for my M.S.E. in Professional Counseling Psychology. My career in mental health started at the Wisconsin State Psychiatric Hospital. I have also worked in prisons, private hospitals, PHPs, IOPs, and outpatient clinics. My most recent experience was supervising a transitional living place as a Child Welfare Supervisor for DCFS youth in care. My experiences allowed me to work with individuals struggling with a variety of mental illnesses including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, and behavior disorders. Both my schooling and career experiences have taught me many things such as hard work, determination, and discipline matter, but aren’t the whole story.
If you need help navigating your story, psychotherapy may be the answer and I have a place for you! While I have worked with ages 3 and up, I am currently seeing primarily adults for therapy.
