Matthew Graczyk, M.D.

Adult, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in Northfield, Illinois

Matthew Graczyk, M.D.

Hi, I’m Dr. Graczyk (pronounced “gray-zack”), though many of my patients and families also know me as Dr. Matthew. I am a double board-certified psychiatrist in both adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. I completed my adult psychiatry residency at Saint Louis University and my child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of Chicago. My clinical experience includes working with a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder, trauma/PTSD, learning disorders, and autism.

Whether working with children, teens, or adults, it is such a privilege being a part of one’s journey toward mental well-being. My therapeutic philosophy involves a holistic and collaborative approach. I work closely with patients and their families to create a personalized treatment plan that tailors their unique needs and aligns with their specific goals. My approach prioritizes lifestyle and behavioral factors, while remaining open to the use of medication when necessary. Above all, I strive to create an environment where patients feel safe, affirmed, and empowered.

Beyond my clinical practice, I am committed to advocacy efforts aimed at reducing stigma surrounding mental health and improving access to care for gender-diverse populations. My goal is to positively impact not only the lives of my patients but also the broader conversation around mental health awareness and support.
