Therapists and Psychiatrists Providing Care for Patients in the Chicago Area

Welcome to AFG Family Guidance Center!

We provide a comprehensive treatment approach provided by a multidisciplinary team. Our team strives to provide highly coordinated care to all of our clients. At the start of care, clients and their families are provided with a comprehensive assessment of their personal strengths, challenges, and needs. This can include completing an intake, participating in a psychiatric evaluation, or completing a neuropsychological or EEG assessment. Goals are then set by our therapists to help work through your behavioral health concerns. Depending on the patient, mental health treatment can include medication management, therapy, Neurotherapy, executive functioning coaching, and more.

At AFG Family Guidance Center, we focus on coordinating care among the different disciplines within our practice to ensure that the highest quality of care is provided to each client. This way, patients are not faced with the challenge of facilitating communication among treatment providers who have individual and separate practices.

Contact our office today to schedule an appointment for you or your child. We offer virtual appointments and in-office with our office conveniently located in Northfield, IL.

We have been with AFG since they opened. They are the only group that offered all of the services my kids needed in one organization. Before I found AFG, I struggled to find the right services for my two kids, each with very different mental health needs. I could barely work because I spent so much time taking them to different practices for different therapy sessions, often discovering that the therapy was inadequate. It was to keep track of the crazy billing from multiple providers and submitting to Blue Cross Blue Shield to obtain reimbursement since none of them worked with insurance companies! AFG provided all of the services we needed in one stop - evaluation, neuropsychiatry, medication management, therapy for Autism, ADHD, Executive Functioning, Socialization, Anxiety, Preparation for College Transitions and they accept Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance! Fast forward to today ... both kids are attending competitive colleges, working part-time jobs, and moving forward! I am forever grateful to the AFG team!
